PAD PRINTING:
Pad printing is used to apply the ink on innegulor and nough surfaces.

But now-a-days larger images have been printed by the pad-printing method.
INK APPLICATION
Fully automatic ink application systems are
available.
It consist of an inkwell, a brush mechanism, and a squeegee on doctor blade to remove the surplus ink.
Steel knife, phosphorus bronze is used to mae the blade.
PAD
Pad is manufactured from silicone rubber plasticized with silicone oils.
It is most important part of the equipment, and attention should be paid to selection of the proper shape and hardness of the pad.
Pad should be hardest, because harden pads have a better in release and one make durable.
Pad shape depends on the surface to be printed.
INKS
Ink layer deposited by pad printing is thin, maximum ink capacity is required.
Two-part reactive inks used for good adhesion and durability.
Acrylic on polyurethane inks are used for outdoor applications.
Wet-on-wet printing is possible by the pad process, because this requires viscous inks and pad surface with good release properties.
APPLICATION
Pad  printing  applications  mainly  on  small
parts with irregular surfaces.
It uses automotive parts, eyeglass frames sporting goods, toys, cigarette lighters, pens etc.
