High Frequency Induction Welding

HIGH-FREQUENCY INDUCTION WELDING
When high-frequency magnetic field is imposed on magnetic or electrically-conductive materials, heat is evolved by over current loss. Welding by high-frequency induction heating is a welding method in which the interface between two moldings to be welded is first melted by this evolution of heat and then welded.

High-frequency magnetic field is most commonly generated by sending high-frequency electric current through a coil. As heating elements, pieces of wire or chips made of metals such as iron, aluminum, and stainless steel are commonly used, but plastic sheets containing magnetic materials are also used. High-frequency induction heating is also utilized sometimes for the insertion of metal parts.
